72
MPG • APRIL 2016
The 17 year old, Luke Willingham has steadily been making a name for himself in the amateur motocross scene. His family is behind him 100% and he is doing everything he can to reach the top of the sport. Luke left his dream of becoming a soccer player due to
nagging knee injuries. His uncle used to be a motocross racer and this subconsciously planted a seed in young Lukes brain. He was forced to stop playing soccer, and thats when he picked up Motocross. Lukes parents helped him buy a bike and he showed them he was serious about the sport by working out, eating healthy, and getting good grades. Luke has only been riding dirt bikes for 3 years now which most find hard to believe. He already has the speed and is only going to get faster from here. He eats breathes and sleeps dirt bikes and has all the ingredients for success. The young Californian has won a national championship before and is hungry for more. Willingham is inspired by riders like Austin Forkner and Cooper Webb. If he can follow in the footsteps of these riders, he will no doubt make a mark in the sport.
