Arnaud started off his day in Canada like any other Saturday in his 2016 season. He qualified a strong 6th and was ready to put in some good results in Toronto. Tonus was put in 250 Heat 1, and when the gate dropped, he was ready. He shot off
to a great top 4 start and focused on consistent, mistake free laps. Arnaud settled in and cruised to a finish of 4th place and would save his energy for the Main Event. The craziest race of the night was, unfortunately for Tonus, the 250 Main. As the gate dropped for the race, the riders took off, but unfortunately only half the field was able to make it through the first corner without crashing or coming to a complete stop. Tonus was one of the riders who had to come to a complete stop and basically wait for the downed riders to move. When he was finally able to get going again, he was listed in 15th and he had his work cut out for him. He struggled with the tough Toronto track and it was obvious that the focus was to stay on two wheels and stay in the race. Many riders were dropping like flies, and it was easy to see that the track was getting rougher and tougher. Arnaud kept his composure and was able to climb back up to 10th by the end. After such a crazy night, Arnaud Tonus is happy to leave with a top ten and most importantly, his health.
