Brayton had an eventful day in qualifying in Canada. He posted the fastest time early on in
practice but ended up shuffling down to qualify 9th. In 450 Heat 2, Justin got a midpack start but
was able to keep it going forward. He was only able to finish 6th, he would go to the next qualifier. In the Semi, Justin got a great start and would settle into 2nd behind Reed and focus on putting down some consistent laps. By the end of the Semi, Justin had closed the gap on 1st place Reed, to under a half a second. He would go to the Main with a little extra confidence. The Main Event began, and like the race before it, there were many riders down in the first rhythm section. Justin was able to avoid the carnage and keep his race going in 6th place. He ran a very consistent and fast 18 laps holding on to 6th, but Canard was closing in. With only 2 to go, both riders, Canard and Brayton, were doing everything they could to finish the race strong. Brayton would put on a last lap push to pull away from Canard and nearly pass Tomac. Justin finished a very commendable 6th place in Toronto and would go into next week with a boost of confidence.
