>> The Moto Concepts Honda rider has been fast all season and he was looking to carry that momentum into this weekend’s action. After a few weeks of qualifying higher in the top 10, Brayton just managed to do so coming in with the 10th fastest time of the morning. He had a decent start to his heat race and ran good laps while trailing the lead pack. At one point he was running in the 4th place position which would have qualified him directly into the main but Seely caught and passed him late in the race leaving Brayton no chance to retake the position. He would finish the heat in 5th which put him in the semi to try and make the main. He started pretty well in the semi but couldn’t quite snag the start from a hard charging Tomac. He would go on to fall in line with Tomac and Canard finishing 3rd in his semi and move himself into the main. He showed in the semi that with a start he could run the pace of the top guys in the class. Brayton’s night would come to an abrupt end in the first corner of the main. He made a decent start but lost his rear end trac- tion entering the first rhythm section and caught his peg on the jump causing him to be slung from the bike, into the face of the next jump. His injuries are unknown at this time and he was unable to restart the race with the rest of the field due to the crash. It has not been said if he will race next weekend.
