CHASE MARQUIER
250 SX / TEXAS
IMAGE / LANNAN WORDS / ROEWER DESIGN / WILSON
>> After almost not racing at all this 2017 season Chase Marquier has had a much better start to the year then his rookie season
last year thanks to some hard work and dedication through the off season. Now more then half way through his 2017 season Marquier has come close to some top ten finishes. The determined racer went into round six, the last of the 250 west coast before the break, ready to put his Honda into that main event and then some. The first gate drop of the night went really well for Marquier, getting a great jump to the first turn. He was running ninth during the beginning of the race. As the time wore on he fell back to eleventh, but was able to make the positions back up right away. He finished off the heat race in ninth the last transfer spot to the main event. With the hard part behind him Marquier was lined up and ready to have some fun. He got a decent jump out of the gate running right about sixteenth. Consistent to where he usually is in the beginning of main events. A few laps into the race he fell back to eighteenth, a position he main- tained for quite some time. Before the checkers was waved he lost one more position, finishing off in nineteenth. It wasn’t his best finish of the season but he has consistently been making the main events, missing only one since the season started.
