Once moto two was set to get underway, Roczen made contact with Trey Canard as the forty riders were pinned heading into the first turn. Squirreled out and nearly brought to the ground, Roczen put his
head down to make super quick work after being buried due to the start straight sketchiness. Like a man possessed, Roczen was pinned, wheeling over the whoops with pure precision, keeping the grip alive and using all the Suzuki had to offer. Posting an over four second faster lap time on the opening laps, it was no wonder how Roczen had made everyone else appear to still be on their sight lap. Yet, it didn’t seem to matter, as last Saturday at Millville would have been Roczen’s to lose no matter how the cards would have unfolded. After finally gaining the lead around Marvin Musquin on lap two, Roczen never looked back the rest of the way home, bringing in his sixth 1-1 score of the season and commanding lead over Eli in the points standings. Whether professionally trained or mentally prepared, Roczen didn’t come to the outdoors to play games and if Millville was any sort of indication at the rest of the rounds, Ken appears to have an extra gear over the rest of the field.
