Now in 2nd and putting some distance over Short throughout lap 1, Marvin was quick to reenter the race pace he had finished with earlier in the day. With Roczen out front and charging hard, Marvin was only 12 secs back with 7 minutes left, despite the drastic difference in lap times between the two riders early in the moto. The late
laps seemed to be a bit harder to navigate though as Marvin found himself 21 seconds back at the white flag. There was no need to worry for Marvin, though, as he had sole possession over that 2nd spot and took his 3-2 scores home to earn his first ever 2nd overall in the premier class outdoors. With the impressive finish, Musquin kept his 3rd place in the series points and has four more rounds to further solidify himself as a newly crowned 450 threat.
