Once it did, Osborne jumped out to a 3rd place start until a surprising first lap of Adam Ciancurulo caught Zach of guard, pushing him back to 4th. A few more bobbles only hurt his chances of retaliation but the #16 main- tained 3rd in front of Joey Savatgy, as the two of them put the helmet lids down in effort to dethrone the Ya- maha’s. Avenging the 1st moto letdown, Osborne took a few laps to warm up but began to show his true form
after the first ten minutes of the race. Pressuring Ciancurulo, Zach made his way around the outside following the Millville whoops and put the Husqvarna into 2nd. Leaving AC to deal with Savatgy for the battle to earn 3rd, Osborne looked outstanding to this point in moto two, now that his back wheel was cooperating. As the race continued into its final stages, Webb had caught up to Osborne and applied some severe stress on the Husqvarna backed Osborne until a lapper forced Zach to the outside opening up the gate for Webb to gain 2nd and Zach to get pushed back to 3rd, where he would finish moto two after the dismal 38th in moto one. Using the combined score, Osborne secured 11th overall and maintained his 5th place spot in the standings, even after such a terrible first moto. Able to escape a possible disastrous weekend, Washougal looks to be a more consistent start to the end of the season for Zach and the Husqvarna team.
