Qualifying in 7th, Tickle had a strong gate pick for moto one but wasn’t able to produce a spectacular start coming out the first lap hustle buried in 12th. Battling alongside the likes of James Stewart, the first half of the race saw Tickle make his way by the #7 where he tested the atmospheric pressure of the top ten positions. Before too long, Tickle found himself ready to challenge Weston Peick for the 10th place spot when disaster struck. As the two riders began to exit a rutted turn into a soft double, Peick cross- rutted causing him to enter the fly zone of Broc. As a result both riders went down, pulled out of the moto and neither were able to make it back for the start of moto two. Although Broc got up quickly following the collision, there has to be a sense of doubt in relation to his absence for the 2nd race but in hopes of seeing a strong #20 next weekend, here’s a salute to the strength and courage of both riders involved.
