Mitchell Oldenburg has been riding well lately and wanted to keep things trending in the right direction at
Millville. He is now the lone Red Bull TLD KTM rider so he would be flying the banner for the whole team. He
qualified nicely with the seventh fastest lap time and was poised for the start of the motos. Oldenburg got the day going with a bang by flying out of the first few turns in third place. Webb and Savatgy would work their ways around him in the open- ing laps sending him back to fifth place. He settled into that spot for a few laps but he just did not look to be meshing well with the track and he would drop back to eighth before the halfway point. He would lose a couple more positions and get pushed back to tenth place shortly after. Oldenburg finally seemed to stop the bleeding and settled into the position. He appeared to have tenth place wrapped up until he bobbled and fell back to thirteenth place to finish the race. Oldenburg was out for redemption in the second moto but could not match the start he had in the first. He finished lap one in tenth place and aimed to move forward. But he just didn’t look right and began moving backwards yet again. He would lose a position every couple of laps and finish the moto back in fourteenth place. He would go 13-14 for fifteenth overall. It was a step back from what he has been doing in recent weeks and will be looking to regroup next weekend at Washougal.
