TYSON JOHNSON
Following a lacerated spleen at last year’s running of the Thor Winter Olympics, Tyson Johnson was forced to sit out the end of
his last season on the 125; he
has since switched full time to the 250cc machine and immediately began to set the B class alight. The Californian put together a week
full of speed and consistency at the JS7 Freestone Spring Cham- pionship, most notably winning
his heat race in the 250 B Limited class. The KTM rider also scored a second place in Schoolboy 2 and a couple of top ten finishes, but he wasn’t able to frequent the podium enough in order to earn an overall result on the box. Nonetheless, Johnson maintained non-stop top five speed throughout the week and put himself where he needed to be in order to stay consistent, finishing both 250 B classes in sixth place overall and the School- boy 2 class in fourth place overall.
JORDAN JARVIS
Jordan Jarvis finally made her long awaited WMX debut at the begin- ning of the 2018 season, contesting the first round at the Daytona RCSX. In addition to her involvement with the WMX series, the North Carolina native has also raced the 250 A class throughout various events to begin the new season. She had a little bit
of tough luck at the opening round of the season at the Daytona RCSX, but she still managed to show her speed and finish on the podium, eventually claiming fourth overall. Jarvis was obviously fired up a couple of weeks later at Freestone and she rode with redemption on her mind during the second round of the WMX series, winning both motos in dominant style as she hoisted the number one plate in undisputed fashion. The Yamaha backed rider continued to perform
to the highest of her potential as the third round of the series took place at Tomahawk Motocross, dominating the competition yet again to take a com- manding lead in the series.
