One of the major contenders in the Girls and Womens classes through- out her storied career as an amateur, Hannah Hodges is no stranger to the spotlight. The Team Green Kawasaki rider has accumulated four Loretta Lynn’s National Championships since the introduction of the Girls (12-16) di- vision in 2013, winning the class three years in succession. Hodges has con- tinued to find success at the Ranch as recently as last year, winning the Women (12+) Amateur class aboard her KX250F in addition to a second place finish in the WMX classification. The 2017 racing season produced loads of success for the rider out
of Millsaps Training Facility as she claimed multiple WMX victories and multiple national titles. The Floridian started the 2018 racing season with
a couple of appearances in the A class in both Amateur Arenacross and Supercross, logging a pair of top ten finishes in the process and she has continued to finish on the podium and fight for race wins at the beginning of the 2018 WMX season.
KYLIE FASNACHT
Kylie Fasnacht has been at the pinnacle of the WMX series for man years running and has served as
a role model for many young girls climbing the amateur ranks. The former WMX Champion switched brands at the last minute in prepara- tion for the 2018 season and ended up on a Yamaha after spending a significant amount of time with Ka- wasaki. It appeared to be a welcome change for the Florida native as she immediately put her YZ250F on the top step of the podium at the Day- tona RCSX, rising to the top of the WMX classification to take the overall victory. She wasn’t able to find the same clearcut success at Freestone a couple of weeks later, but Fasnacht overcame a poor start in the sec- ond moto in order to regain second overall at the end of both motos. She has proven time and time again that she is tough to beat when things are working in her favor -- as she gets more seat time on the Yamaha, Fas- nacht will be one to watch throughout the rest of the season.
