LUKE FAUSER
Although young, Luke Fauser pres- ents professionalism both on and off the track, which has him sitting atop his respective divisions. His intensity while under the helmet is apparent, but he always handles himself with class, willing to shake the competi- tors hand after a hard-fought battle. No matter what the race, whether it’s something close to home in Penn- sylvania, or the biggest of stages at Loretta Lynn’s, he’s always vying for another position, willing to leave it all on the line. After winning a champion- ship at Loretta Lynn’s in 2016, the itch for gold hasn’t ever been stronger, in the mentality of the young competitor. In constant rotation of practice, train- ing, and studying, all categories of preparation are filled. He’s continued to follow the strict regiment that got him his goal just a few years ago, and with a tad bit of luck on his side, the cards could most certainly align for it to happen again in 2018.
MARCELLO
LEODORICO
Marcello Leodorico, a Murrieta, California native, came into the California Classic, raring to go, eyeing nothing but he, and the checkered flag. Moto, after moto, the KTM pilot slashed through the pack, regardless of his initial start- ing position. His line choice was selective, yet efficient, timing the most difficult rhythm and roller sec- tions with the slightest of precision. He could most always be found in the top portion of the field, never acknowledging anything but the line directly ahead of him. And with focus like that, there’s no wonder why his results could always be found within the top ten. Multiple top fives, two thirds, and even a second in the final outing of the Mini Sr. 1 (12-13) division, placed him with cumulative overalls of third and sixth. He and team know that they have room to build, which is scary; in the sense that his momen- tum will only build with time, and there’s absolutely no ceiling for the number forty-four.
