RYDER ELLIS
It’s extremely difficult to back up a second place, at the 2017 Loretta Lynn’s Amateur national. You must push the pressure to the back of your mind, and ride each race
as if it were your last. This notion however, is extremely tough on that of a racer; and only the fittest can handle it to the bitter end. That’s why, after the Freestone Spring Championship this year, that Ryder Ellis was considered a man amongst boys. With all eyes upon hip, he contested every fifty class he could. Walking away with fifth, third, and second overalls, in the 50cc senior classes, he was happy beyond belief once exiting the raceway. Ellis is riding a con- fidence high like no other, and he rightfully should be. We all believe that the only things that limit him, are what he chooses. If he can continue on this road to success, who knows how spectacular his final destination will be.
WYATT THURMAN
Wyatt Thurman is an absolute dominant force, hailing from the well-known area of Temecula, Cali- fornia. Surrounded by successes of this sport on a daily basis, Thurman and crew believe he has all the tools needed, in order to make leaps and bounds in this game. Last year at Loretta Lynn’s, it was as though
all the stars aligned, when he took home the title of the 51cc (4-6) lim- ited division. He’d etched his name in the record books, joining some of the greatest all time. He loved that feeling, and identity of being one of the best, and he’s continued it into 2018. Kicking tail from the stadiums of Monster Energy Supercross amateur days, to the podium at Freestone, Thurman is one of the most ascending prospects on the circuit. Each week, he shows up to the line with more in store, and isn’t ever satisfied. He’s setting the tone for those around him, and believe us, he has all of our attention.
