CHRISTOPHE POURCEL
The now stateside veteran, frenchie Christophe Pourcel is yet to return to his 250 championship form since his stint back in Europe for the 2011 and 2012 seasons. In fact, Pourcel had his fair share of battles with Ryan Villopoto and Ryan Dungey in those days but failing to find a 450 ride after the 2010 outdoor season
will ruin any sort of momentum a racer carries with them. Dealing with injuries and mediocre results ever since, Pourcel has finally started to turn things up in the last two weeks of racing. Finishing outside of the top ten the first two rounds, Christophe has posted a 9th and 6th place finish at Thunder Valley and High Point, respectively. Having improved each week thus far, Tennessee sets the stage for Pourcel to make his way into the top five for the first time this year. What he’ll need is a strong qualifying spot for a good gate pick; starts being a must in muddy creek. If Pourcel can get out front early, it will be up to who can make the fewest mistakes and this Frenchman is one of the smoothest around.
