Moto two wasn’t quite the same story out of the start as Pourcel could only muster an 11th place start. Beginning
on an uphill, thirty-minute climb to match his first moto performance, Christophe remained stationary early on due
to astounding pace by the top ten riders. Able to get by some riders early on, Pourcel found himself in 9th ahead of Blake Baggett. Around the five-minute mark, the battle was on in the tight knit pack of Barcia, Baggett and Bisceglia. Magically, Christophe was able to pick up a position each time he lost one allowing him to keep his 9th spot for a large portion of the moto. As the laps began to stack up, a fading Weston Peick allowed Christophe into 8th where he would finish the day to earn 6th overall. A disappointing 2nd moto but with two 6th place overall finishes two weeks in a row, Pourcel has improved each week and hopes to continue as the season rolls on to Red Bud.
