MARTIN DAVALOS
IMAGES / LAKE KILPATRICK
Having struggled through his professional career, the Ecuadorian prospect has displayed flashes of brilliance with little proof of serious contention. He’s had multiple top ten finishes in championship point standing throughout his career but most seem to be on the indoor circuit with his weaknesses becoming
apparent outdoors. Unable to finish in the top ten in points since 2011 where he finished 9th, Martin has battled some of the best riders the 250 class has seen in the last decade, yet, hasn’t made the name that some of his individual rounds have seemed set him up for. As 2016 rolls in to round five, Davalos sits 14th in points and needs to put in two solid moto’s two make Muddy Creek successful. Eliminating the bad moto’s is all Martin needs to prove he has the pace to run with the leaders, a speed that he’s shown he can ride countless times before.
