IMAGES / LAKE KILPATRICK
Third after the blur of Alex Martin screamed by, he proceeded to cast his line and hook onto the number 26, following him wherever he went. The line had him bobbing side to side, grasping the reel for all it had, until a sudden lapse of focus caused his Kawaski pontoon to tip, just after the big triple, leaving him fran-
tically remounting and losing positions. Shifting into aggressive mode, he quickly regained a few spots, and came along the rear fender of teammate Austin Forkner, who sat fourth; he would make the move. Shortly there after however, yet another ripple effect from the previous tipover, pushed him to the ground and outside of the top ten. Knowing what was at stake, he pressed on through all of the negativity, finishing seventh, yet good enough for second overall.
