PHIL NICOLETTI
Motocross is a grueling sport. Besides the training and talent it takes to race competitively, the mental side of the sport is by far the hardest. Having the drive to put in the work during the week, the belief in yourself to perform on the weekend and the heart to push through the long 30 min plus 2 lap mo- tos. A rider that comes to mind when thinking about heart and dedication is Phil Nicoletti. Being just a fill-in rider for JGR Yamaha in the Monster Energy Supercross series, Phil is back in his element of the great outdoors and putting in solid results for the team each weekend. Besides a
bad day at Thunder Valley a couple weekends ago, Phil has been a solid 7-12 place rider. We saw a few break out rides out of Nicoletti last year as he snuck into the top five and even stood on the podium at Glen Helen. Growing up
in Cochecton, NY Phil is comfortable on the loamy east coast dirt and is no stranger to the humidity that comes with the upcoming rounds. With riders dropping out with injury and Phil getting stronger each round, this is a great op- portunity for Nicoletti to finish closer to the top five.
