The past two seasons have been break through years for Weston Peick. Earning a factory ride while racing on a privateer bike to standing on the podium in supercross, there seemed to be no ceiling for the JGR Yamaha rider. After a crazy Monster Energy Supercross series and a slow start to the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross series, Peick was desperate to get back to the front and keep the momentum flowing. A top five start in 450 moto one was just what Weston needed to light a fire under him at Muddy Creek. Going head to head with his entire team as Justin Barcia and Phil Nicoletti both started inside the top five. Weston ran 4th for the majority of the race before getting passed by the crafty frenchman Christophe
Pourcel. Finishing the moto in 5th place and scoring his best finish of the year thus far. Another top ten start in moto two had Peick battling around the 7th place spot. Finding Rockstar Energy Husqvarna’s Christophe Pourcel again in this race, the two went back and forth until Peick’s teammate Justin Barcia joined the party. When the checkered flag flew, Peick finished 9th place in the moto and 7th overall on the day with 5-9 scores.
