Gaining the upper hand in the beginning, Dungey was leaving it all out on the track, but Roczen was still able to make the pass being stronger through the whoops. Now in second the heat is on for Dungey with Tomac riding all over him. Tomac also gets the pass on Dungey and now he
is sitting back in third and it was only lap two. With the pressure of wrapping up the championship looming over his head Dungey was working hard just to maintain his podium streak. As lap four rolled around Anderson began to catch Dungey, being able to carry a little more speed here and there made all the difference when it came to catching him. Making a smooth pass Anderson got by the current champ and pushed him back to fourth. Now it was on for Ryan Dungey ,officially sitting outside the box, somewhere he didn’t want to be. As one of the most challenging races Dungey has had to face all year he didn’t let it destroy him, instead he kept his head down and was able to make his way back into third place after a clean pass through the whoops. Truly testing his ability to ride under pressure Dungey maintained his record breaking podium streak, but was unable to wrap the championship up finishing Foxborough with a third place.
