They say old dogs can’t learn new tricks, but you don’t need to learn new tricks if you already know them all. After 19 years of full time racing coming into 2016, Nick Wey retired only to find himself back on the line mid way through the 2016 season. When Team Tedder presented Nick with a solid opportunity to get back out there, Nick asked himself “Why wouldn’t I?” Now, Nick
is going fast in his comeback this season and surprising many people. Nick logged a couple of top fifteens in his first two Mains of the year and seems to be getting faster and faster. His results since then have not reflected his speed, but he is still putting the Kawasaki in the Main every Saturday and showing flashes of brilliance along the way. For the first time in Wey’s 19-year career, Supercross makes its way back to Foxborough, Massachusettes and it should make for some very interesting racing. Look for Nick to put the bike in the Main Event again this weekend and challenge for another top 15.
