With the Monday main event order finalized, Jayce Pennington was looking to stay consis- tent after his top 10 results on Sunday. A 9th in 250 A and 5th in the All-Star A/B 14+ class, the #131 of Pennington was looking real strong on the final day of racing, with the 250 A main up first. Starting out, Jayce seemed to find 9th all by himself, crossing lap #1 all alone,
4 seconds back of 8th and 5 seconds ahead of 10th. A rough lap 2 saw Pennington drop to the 12th position, but he knew he deserved better. Putting his helmet down, Jayce ripped off the last 7 laps of the race, all under 57 seconds a lap. By lap 5, Pennington found 10th, moving up to the 9th on lap 6. Battling with the #182 of DJ Macfarlane, Pennington captured 8th just before the end of the race, finishing the 250 A class with 8-8 on the weekend. A spectacular performance out of the new face in the A class, but the day wasn’t over yet, All-Star A/B was next, and this was Penning- ton’s best shot. Coming off the aforementioned 5th place finish in the All-Star Heat race, Pennington was set to end his weekend with his final main event. The race started off great for Pennington, a 6th place start saw him comfortably near the front of the pack. Even though his lap times remained consistent, Pennington was unable to mount any movement and settled into 6th for the rest of the race. Riding smoothly, Pennington fell of the top 5 pace but maintained his position and finished the 2016 season with two top 10 results. A skillful showing for the Kawi rider and a classic example of consistency paying off. Pennington heads into the rest of 2016 with the first moto’s out of the way, look for #131 to continue the consis- tent finishes throughout the season.
