JAKE MASTERPOOL
The Masterpool family is well known across the Amateur ranks for the three young brothers that have displayed motocross genetics do exist. With his younger brother Ty and late brother, Jesse, Jake Masterpool knows the heartache and emotional side of racing. In 2010, his older brother Jesse passed in a terrible accident at Lake Whitney in Texas, where
the family is from. Following this, Jake took nearly an entire year away from racing. As we all know, though, the powerful passion and love for motocross runs deep within the pulse of each racer, so much so, that Jake knew he was meant to carry on the legend of his beloved brother. With his comeback, Jake earned his first championship in the two- stroke class at Freestone Spring National in 2014 and has been a serious threat in the B class ever since. Hailing from Paradise, Texas specifically, this Yamaha and Horton Racing backed rider who is a consistent Top 5 finisher, a 3rd and 4th in his two classes at Loretta’s in 2014 and five top 5 results at the 2015 Florida Mini Olympics, looks to maintain his impressive results heading into the 2016 Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross. Unfortunately, in 2015, Masterpool’s only main event finish was an unusual 6th place. With will, heart and focused mentality, his mission heading to the starting line this year will be to improve upon last year’s performance.
