LUCAS GEISTLER
An industry and rider favorite, Lucas Geistler is the epitome of a 65cc rider. He may not have the championship background or resume of medals, but this kid races and races hard. A member of the RidesUnlimited team, with speed and support, Geistler is well known in the pits around the
Amateur Circuit, riding mainly the east coast events. Interestingly enough, during the 2015 Mini Olympics in Florida, Lucas seemed to prefer the Supercross races over the motocross events. Racing in two 65cc classes, the number 121 rider got two 17th place finishes in the MX categories, while he finished with a 14th and 26th in the SX competition. Even with the 26th place result, three of Geistler’s top four finishes at the Mini O’s were in the Supercross class, the best being an 8th, proving that he has a knack for the technical-style racing. Fast forward to now, making the trek from Newark, Illinois, Geistler comes into the Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross event with the odds in his favor. Daytona provides the perfect opportunity for the young riders with its Supercross-style features laid out across the beautiful infield of the Daytona International Speedway. With those and the Florida soil back under his wheels, LG looks to top his past results and prove his skill in the 65 7-11 and 10-11 classes. Ultimately, Geistler shows up, puts in the work and leaves the track stoked for getting to spend time with his dad and his KTM 65.
