and it would allocate him to an impressive divisional win. He then looked to destroy the competition; lining up for the main event with his head held high, focused on the rut that lay just beyond the gate. He wanted to nail his shifting points, and stay on the throttle throughout the holeshot device disengag- ing. Roaring around the first turn, he stalked DJ Weber who was an out to an early lead. However, a mistake by Weber would place
wealth, and opportunity, is a land and place where citizens flock for excellence. All thrive to be successors in their respective jobs and practices, reaping the benefits hard work and dedication. And it’s flown into the DNA of Nicholas Norton, listing his residence as El Dorado Hills, California, and making the trek to Florida with hopes of coming out on top. He would litter his heat race outings with a serious of strong finishes, ranging from fourths to a first, in the 450 C class. He

Running laptimes near the one minute, twelve second mark, this race was a bit longer than the class was used to, as it spanned seven laps around this treach- erous track. He would read the expression
of his mechanic as he rounded the course, knowing that Norton wasn’t far off of his rear fender. And ever so often, he could see him enter the turn, as he was exiting, catching a brief glimpse of the KTM out of his periph- eral vision. Yet he wouldn’t waver, pushing forward with a flurry of solid laps, never once slipping up or garnering a mishap. And just like that, he would cross the line with the checkered flag waving just to the side of him. He’d put it all together, and truly was stoked on his finish. His successful ways wouldn’t stop there though, as the number 541 would go on to have an awesome outing on the motocross side of things as well; a sixth, fourth, and another podium would conclude his week, leaving him no choice but to be ecstatic when he left the event.

Hovering near the top five for the 250 C limited finale, he was fighting neck and neck with the top riders in his class, knowing that if he could sustain, he would generate a strong finish. Battling with the likes of Burgos, Caceres, and Jones, he ventured into a podium position for

He eyed the mechanics area, and corner after, hoping to sweep wide and cut in at the last possible second; but it was too no avail. Never giving up, it was in the final moments where he would throw down a remarkable feat and sta- tistic; he would set the fastest lap of the race, on the last lap! Showing his true amount stamina and courageousness, it would be
a mad dash to the checkered flag, and he would come across in second place, show- ing his true colors of effort. Norton would be gleaming with excitement, providing an effort for all in attendance, and relaying a mes- sage of never giving up, regardless of the circumstances.
CARTER HALPAIN
A rider who’s been well known throughout his amateur career, Carter Halpain is truly on the brink of professionalism. Sacrificing many areas of his life in order to chase his dream of making a career racing, his goals have always been lofty, yet attainable. Buck- ling down in the most difficult of times, he’s battled through injury, team changes, and
all kinds of mishaps, only to always come out prevailing on the other side. It’s been no different so far in the 2018 season, where unfortunate circumstances midseason forced him to miss races and valuable seat time, as he’s being examined under the smallest of
micro- scopes. Teams value the time and effort spent, when develop- ing a product, and Carter Halpain is one they’ve had their eye on for quite some- time.
