RESULTS DONOTLIE
trip down the east coast from Venetia, Penn- sylvania, he hoped for a little bit warmer weather, to couple with his feverish riding style that was blazing the field. A notoriously strong starter and pace setter, each time he was on the track,
he looked to set the tone early, knowing that he had riders like Romano, Colip, and Shelly behind him. Any rhythm lane that could be pieced together, seemingly was crafted and glued with the tread of his tire, doubling and tripling his way through
this combination
filled course. This
young man, once
the races would
begin to start,
would put up a
remarkable stat
line; one filled
with one of the lowest overall tally sheets
of anyone competing. He would only have one outlying finish, and it was still, a very admirable seventh. The rest of his runs on the course, regardless of it the class were stock, mod, or even the rigorous Supermini division, all were littered with race wins. He simply couldn’t be stopped, when he stayed upright and out of harms way. His style was almost impeccable, with a blend of both outright speed, and stylistic grace. Landing at times with his foot off the peg, scrubbing rollers, and pulling tear-off’s through the air, you could see that his comfort aboard the motorcycle was extremely clear cut. Taking both the (12-13) Limited and Non-Limited Divisions, he would make it a trifecta of championships, completed with the Super- mini run. It’s only a matter of time until he transitions to the big bikes, and the entire Schoolboy and Intermediate classes are put on notice. Everyone in attendance would take notice of his performance, just waiting for his transition into 2019, and observing what moves he would plot.
BRYCE SHELLY
A native of Pennsylvania, Bryce Shelly is used to the hard-pack, blue grooved tracks of his area. If you can think back to when Steel City was a staple on the AMA Moto- cross tour, you’d be in amazement as to just
how hard these professionals could go, all the while on a track with a racing surface as slick as they’d come. Well, when watching Bryce Shelly in person, you get a sense
of throwback, as watching the number 34
losing sight of the leader all the while being chased. With his signature elbows-up, eyes locked in technique, he would drive out of these tight, horse-shoe like turns, with all of the might his 85cc machine could gener- ate. And after all was said and done for this class, he would walk away with an astound- ing performance; that of a second place, silver medal spot, and eyeing the races in which lay ahead. It was like he had a point to prove, deep down, as if that second place weren’t enough. He would continue to gravi- tate toward the front, regardless of where he was on the first lap of timing and scoring. He could claw through the pack, or settle into
a comfortable place out front. It applied to the motocross section of the event too; and after all was said and done, he would walk away with an extraordinary results resume. A fourth, three thirds, and two seconds! You can’t argue his determination, dedication, and drive after a performance such as this!
NICHOLAS ROMANO
When hearing the name “Nicholas Romano” over the intercom, many immediately flock to the visual representation of a Northeastern, solemn figure, meaning all business when he climbs aboard the motorcycle. And their right, as Nick Romano is a young man who takes this craft as serious as anyone else in the sport. A pleasant and polite young man off the bike, it truly is a flip of the switch once he gets locked and loaded, ready for that gate to drop. His number 411 Kawasaki ma- chine is notorious for being an outlaw on the track, taking no prisoners, and not afraid to run it in if need be. He rides the line between

Husqvarna is like viewing any professional on television, albeit on a slightly smaller machine. And what he lacks in horsepower, he makes up for in heart, attitude, and fearlessness. He’s never afraid to uncork the throttle, and hangs on with all of his might
if situations ever get hairy. Making both his team and sponsors proud every time he climbs aboard the bike. He looked at the 2018 Winter Olympics
as if it were any other race. Once that he could do well in, and become
a legitimate contender once the overall scores were tallied and finished. It would begin with the 85cc (12-13) class, where he would be joined with riders like Gavin Towers and Nicho- las Romano. With many of the major brands be- ing represented up front, he was carrying the flag for the Husqvarna brand, letting little, if any, roost smear aboard this crisp white plastic. He would be sandwiched between the aforementioned two in the run-off, never
