NICHOLAS SCHMIDT
Nick Schmidt has established himself as the top privateer in 2016. Besides the two top guys, Schmidt is one of the most consistent 450 riders in the series. His finishes have all been within 5 positions of each other and he has qualified for every Main Event of the year except
for the first round in Anaheim. His best finishes of the season came back to back in Toronto and Detroit, where he finished an impressive 16th in both events. Midway through the season, many people thought his efforts would have impressed more people in the industry and he would be the first to take fill in rides on factory teams. Unfortunately, the sport is dog eat dog these days and he is still putting his privateer machine in the Main Events every week with little help. Nick is only getting faster and its only a matter of time before he starts breaking into that top 15.
