Marvin’s day started off pretty average in New Jersey. Suddenly, he seemed to find his speed and
comfort in the last practice, as he jumped into the top position about half way through the session. Marvin qualified number 1 going into the races and was ready to put his KTM in contention for the win in New Jersey. Marvin got a decent jump in 450 Heat 2 and found himself battling for qualifying position early. Unfortunately he could not get into a top 4 position and would go on to the next
qualifier. In the Semi, Marvin got a better start and would move into 2nd place behind training partner, Anderson. He rode a quiet race and solidified his spot into the race that counts. When the Main Event started, Musquin got off to a great jump. Halfway down the start straight, he collided between two riders but somehow kept it on two wheels. He was dead last coming into the first corner and knew this was going to be a tough one. He made his way into an impressive 13th position by the end of the first lap and kept the momentum going forward. By lap 12, he had made it up to 10th and was working hard on 9th place. On lap 13 he came inside of 9th place holder, Bogle, in the corner before the sand and was able to secure the position. With 3 to go, Marvin made an impressive pass on Trey Canard for 8th place and continued his momentum. By the end, Marvin was scored in 7th position because of another rider mistake. Musquin would go from 22nd to 7th in New Jersey and put on quite the show by doing so. Look for Marvin to finish up the season strong next weekend.
