>> Enzo Temmerman showed some unbelievable speed during the week of racing at the 2017 JS7 Freestone Spring National Championship. The Cali- fornian made the journey to the Lone Star State worthwhile as he came away with four top five finishes amongst the three classes that he contested, includ- ing a victory and a second place finish in the 65cc (7-9) class. He also lined
up in the 65cc (7-9) Limited Class and the 85cc (9-10) Limited class, proving his ability to go quickly on two different sized bikes. Temmerman took a title in the 65cc (7-9) class with his pair of impressive podium finishes, putting him on the overall podium two years in a row at the JS7 Freestone Spring National Championship. The opening moto presented a challenge for the young Cali- fornian as he found himself battling to stay within the top five throughout the first lap. He upped his speed throughout the next lap and worked his way past Luke Fauser and Alvin Hillan, moving from fourth to second position within merely one lap. From that point forward, he pressured Kade Johnson in the lead, but he wasn’t able to rattle the Texas native out front. Temmerman kept it consistent with the overall in mind and cruised to a second place finish with a clear advantage behind him. Temmerman made things easy on himself in an incredibly challenging second moto as he was able to provide himself with a clear track from the gate drop onward. He blasted off the line on his #21 KTM machine and laid down a storming pace from the get go, putting in the best lap of the race on the very first time around the circuit. The conditions were chal- lenging due to some heavy weather throughout the day, and the Californian proved himself as a multi-faceted rider as he navigated the ruts with ultimate precision, building a lead of more than a minute by the end of the race. He battled tooth and nail through the elements and obstacles of the challenging Freestone County Raceway, subsequently snatching the number one plate in a highly competitive class.
