Doing A Good Deed Leads Georgia Man To $10,000 Lottery Win

- A Georgia man said doing a good deed for a neighbor set off a chain of events that led to him winning a $10,000 lottery jackpot.
Edward Wheeler of Waycross told Georgia Lottery officials he agreed to give his neighbor a ride to and from the courthouse, so he stopped
at Mini Mart to buy an instant lottery ticket to scratch off while waiting.
"I wanted to stop and get something since I knew I was going to be waiting," he said.
Wheeler said he scratched off the LOTS of $10,000 ticket while waiting for his neighbor and was shocked to dis- cover he was a
$10,000 top prize winner.
"I checked three times to make sure it was right," he said. "I started driving the car in cir- cles."
Wheeler said the winnings will help him buy a new motor for his boat.
"This is what happens when you do good things," Wheeler said.
