PETONE
On the back of another record year for Petone, Branch Manager and Retailer of the Year Finalist, Jeremy Prentice, says: “It is a great honour
to be recognised by our peers, customers, suppliers and community as a high performing trade store. We take pride in our trade store and it is great to be able to recognise how hard our team has worked over the past 12 months. We are proud of being a New Zealand family-owned company with strong values. This is further recognition that we are on the right path of being customer-obsessed.”

MT WELLINGTON
Mark Moffitt, Branch Operator, says his team is “honoured and very
excited” to be a Finalist again. This year’s nomination is “particularly meaningful”, the team having risen to the challenge of not only servicing growth of over 20% in a highly competitive market but also hitting the $100m sales mark for the first time. Says Mark: “While the headline result was amazing it only came about through the efforts of our team. We also had higher customer service scores, lower staff turnover and increased employee engagement in the last 12 months which have all played a key part in this success.”

RICCARTON
In the “battle of the big trade stores”, Grant Close says: “Becoming a Finalist is industry recognition of the importance of the relationships and effective engagement between suppliers, our customers and selling staff. There are over 400 trade outlets in NZ and to make the top three is an accolade in itself. Being able to share this with our staff as wonderfully reinforcing of the benefits of great service and supply. Riccarton is special because of its committed people. We strive to reinforce the best of retail standards and service beliefs, within a family- orientated company. High performance means no plateaus, and staff engagement is key to this.”
