BRIGHT OUTLOOK
FOR PAINT & DEC
“Connect”.
Inspirational trends and inspirational people from in and around the painting & decorating sector.
SPRING MARKS THE start of a new paint season and an exciting period of fresh inspiration and trends, as encapsulated annually by Dulux’s Colour Forecast, among others.
Based on the brand’s year-round exploration of the latest global and local trends, the latest Forecast reflects a reaction to the chaotic last couple of years, with many wanting to live more simply and authentically, says Dulux.
In response, the Dulux Colour Forecast 2023 reflects the “desire to bond with the environment, or communities and the people we love, with warming, earth-drawn neutrals, natural textures and an array of uplifting brighter hues.”
For 2023, Dulux’s upcoming year’s collections are centred around the three themes pictured opposite:
• Balance–Arefinedpaletteofserenemarineblues,gentle
greens and accents of deep garnet evoking the beauty and
fluidity of the ocean and shoreline
• Connect–Thispaletteisallaboutfosteringourrelationship
with the great outdoors, with warm, earthy tones of moss, wasabi, sandstone, muddied yellow-green and burnt charcoal
One of two Honorary Life Memberships rewarded Murray Gray of Dulux for the years he’s devoted to judging the Master Painters’ Awards.
