OUTDOOR POWER INDUSTRY
Honda launches Honda Outdoors
  New beginnings?
As we approach the end of 2022, we
find the supply chain finally loosening up – albeit with a few hiccups still plain to see – and outdoor products flowing into servicing dealers.
Can we say we’ve arrived at a new normal? The only constant is change, according to someone with a better mind than mine...
As this is my last issue of NZOPE, I’ll also take this opportunity to wish our readers and commercial partners all the very best for the coming year.
It’s been a blast learning about the outdoor power industry but it’s time to take a break from working – for a while at least.

THIS MONTH WAS a big one for
Honda’s outdoor power equipment business in New Zealand.
With the launch of the Honda Outdoors brand, Honda is leveraging its high-profile national motorcycle dealer network to raise awareness of its outdoor power skills and offerings.
It’s about “bringing everything Honda under one roof to give people that one Honda experience” according to Marketing Manager Damien Smyth.
Alongside a brand campaign fronted by Kiwi actor Peter Elliott, Honda has been rolling out store fitouts across the Honda motorcycle network – the biggest in the country – emphasising the Honda power product range.
“We have refocussed on the distribution channel, refitted all the stores with new display equipment and rolled out the range of products within all those stores,” says Damien Smyth.
So now there are no less than
52 Honda Outdoors stores across the country that will sell and service the

complete range of Honda power equipment, creating in effect a brand-new destination store network for Honda power equipment.
In terms of Honda outdoor power
stockists, of which there are many around the country, we would imagine the knock-on effect will be an equally positive lift in business. n

      Masport boosts AVA
warranties
MASPORT HAS LAUNCHED
new 10- and 20-year warranties
for its high quality, Norwegian- designed AVA Series pressure washers.
Passionate about its products and wanting them to last for as long as possible, Masport says “less throwaway, and more focus on the maintenance of solid products is simply good for the environment.”
And reliability, along with environmentally friendly design is
the means to this end, with trouble- free maintenance resulting in fewer consumables, reduced costs, and a more sustainable product for the end user.
For customers to receive the new Masport AVA extended warranty, they must register their Masport AVA Pressure Washer within six months of purchase via the Masport website. n
