Accent Tools takes on Apex brands in NZ
ON 1 JULY, Accent Tools announced a partnership
with hand and power tool manufacturer Apex Tool Group (ATG).
Effective 1 August, Accent Tools becomes the exclusive agent for all ATG brands in New Zealand, including Crescent, Gear Wrench, Weller, Lufkin and Wiss.
Accent Tools says ATG’s
products will be “strongly
marketed directly in New
Zealand”, adding that “An
aggressive plan for growth will be implemented, allowing dealers to expand their range and grow their sales of ATG products.”
Andrew Way, Managing Director of Accent Tools, says of the deal: “We’re exceptionally pleased to have been able to establish this new relationship with Apex Tool Group.
“The strong heritage, leading innovation, and exceptional quality across the ATG portfolio are attributes that New Zealand tradespeople will gravitate towards as we ramp up the marketing and promotion of key brands such as GearWrench and Crescent.”
Existing ATG Dealers throughout New Zealand will have the opportunity to transition across to Accent Tools’ dealer platform and to assist with this, current ATG NZ Sales Manager, James McLellan, will be joining Accent Tools as Business Manager, Hand Tools.
Andrew Way says of this move: “James has a wealth of experience in this market, and a passion for delivering value and opportunities for his customers. James will be a valuable resource for our Dealers in both the transition and growth phases of our plan.”
James has been a top salesman at Accent Tools, Robert Bosch and Alltrade Tools and joined ATG in 2017.
James McLellan is re-joining Accent Tools from Apex Tool Group as Business Manager, Hand Tools.
