“Those boys can’t laugh at me,” he thought. “I am the Prince and I have to be respected! I can’t stand that I am not as good as they are at this arrow shooting.” He then felt a hand on his shoulder and turned to see the Wizard standing next to him.
All the others in the royal caravan were hiding to avoid the Prince’s wrath.
The Wizard said to the Prince, “Your Majesty, this has obviously been an attempt by your enemies to embarrass you. It is a shame that such instruments are so available for them to use in their petty attempts to discredit you.” The Royal Journal recorded that the day following the trip; a Royal Edict was issued banning all bows and arrows in the kingdom.
“Wow, another overreaction,” I said. The Little Prince was embarrassed and made himself angry. Then he overreacts and gets rid of all of the bows and arrows. Seems pretty silly to me. “Yes” replied Buster “and it just kept getting worse.”
I told Buster that I could not imagine things getting any worse in the kingdom. Buster shook his head very slowly and then he looked into the distance. I followed his gaze and he said, “What do you see Cosmos?” “Nothing much,” I replied. He then asked, “Besides the obvious things, what’s missing.”” I thought for a moment... no houses, barns or crops... then I realized what he wanted me to see, “No animals” I blurted out. Buster shook his head and continued with the story.
