The Little Prince continued with this way of acting until his kingdom was in bad shape. The story ends when the kingdom is invaded and apparently destroyed. This destruction happened because he never stopped to consider if his anger (being caused by what he told himself) and his behavior (banishing the doctors, flowering plants and so on) made any sense.
