Since Carmen was getting a little more confident, I suggested we go into the alley back of the grocery store. I knew what would be happening on the fence back of the store but I was pretty sure that Carmen was unaware of the “Chorus”.
Sure enough, when we got to the alley Carmen asked, “Why are we going down this dark alley?” “Just be patient and you will see,” I told her. We walked deep into the alley and once our eyes adjusted; we were able to see a group of cats standing next to a wooden fence.
All of the cats greeted me and asked, “Who is that cat with you Cosmos?” I introduced Carmen to all of the other cats and said, “Carmen would like to sit in with you, if you don’t mind.” Carmen looked at me and asked in a low whisper, “Cosmos, what is going on?”
