I had to think about this for a minute to figure out what I could do. Can you guess what I should do to help Carmen?
I flew down to the lowest branch and called to Carmen. When she looked at me, I fell out of the tree and went “plop” on the ground. Carmen jumped up into the air and yelled, “Cosmos are you alright?” I stood up, dusted myself off and said, “Of course I am alright. I did not fall as gracefully as a cat but it was a very short fall.”
Carmen may be a scaredy cat but she's was not dumb. She said, “You wanted me to see that even an old, overweight crow would not get hurt falling from that low branch.”
I smiled and said, “That is not exactly what I wanted you to understand but you are pretty close.” Carmen then surprised me by climbing on to the lower branch and after a few moments she got up her courage and jumped to the ground.
