SHA Annual Meeting
The Shenandoah Homeowners Association‘s Annu- al Meeting will be held Monday, September 18th at the Jones Creek Library at 6:30 pm. The night will begin with an informal meet and greet during which light refresh- ments will be served. The business meeting will get un- derway at 7:00 pm.
The primary purpose of the Annual Meeting is the election of the Association’s Board of Directors in accor- dance with the SHA bylaws. Last year Mike Bass, Ken Buturla, Prentice Ferrill, Tom Hirschey, and Sandy Smith were elected to two-year terms on the Board. They will each return for the final year of Henry Grace enjoys an automatic one-year re-appointment as Immediate Past President regardless of whether he is re-elected Presi- dent or the Board selects a new leader, so Henry needs no re-election to the Board.
All other Board members are up for re-election to new two-year terms. That means Don Regner, Eileen Stradley, Ray Domingue, Sandra Lambert, and Kevin McNicoll are up for re-election, should they desire to con- tinue serving.
Anyone wishing to run for a Board seat is urged to contact SHA Board President Henry Grace or another board member. If at all possible, they should also plan to attend the regular September business meeting on Tuesday the 12th at the Jones Creek Library at 7:00 PM.
The election of Board Members is the first item on the Annual Meeting agenda. The newly elected Board may hold a brief meeting upon the adjournment of the Annual Meeting for the purpose of electing Board Offi- cers for the coming year, or they may wish to wait until the October business meeting to select their leadership.
The Board election will be followed by a number of honored guests presenting brief overviews of the past year’s activity.
