Now, think about what you have just learned. You now know that your Stinky Thinking was motivating you do so something “not nice.” Your thinking was about to get you to say or do something to someone else that you would not have liked done to yourself.
Now that you know what your Stinky Thinking is in this situation, you must Challenge it.
Why is this thinking Stinky?
What about it makes it untrue or an exaggeration or no big deal? What can I tell myself so that I will not behave in a “not nice” manner?
This process may sound complicated but really it amounts to:
Would I like it?
What am I thinking?
What do I need to tell myself to change my thinking?
This process may seem difficult but with practice it will become a habit. This is a habit that will cause others to like you and will keep you from becoming as lonely as a Unicorn.
