P. 20
You are less interested in hurting someone else than you are about getting attention and approval from others. This “not nice” behavior is also the result of your Stinky Thinking.
It is easy to fall into the habit of gossiping or making fun of others and once it becomes a habit, it is difficult to break. Just as with the unicorns, once you have been “not nice” for a long time, you may never change. Others will recognize this quality in you and as time goes on they will not want to have anything to do with you. If you say hateful things about one person to a friend today, you may say hateful things about your friend tomorrow.
Just as in the story, over time, people who are Good Thinking and are pleasant to be around, will not want to associate with those whose Stinky Thinking causes them to be unpleasant to be around. You will find that you will have fewer and fewer people wanting to associate with you. And you will still not be able to change because now your “not nice” behavior is a habit. This will be as obvious to others as the horn of a unicorn.
So stop that Stinky Thinking before you get banished.
