Sad Boy was also still upset about missing the ball. I could hear him telling himself, It is all my fault that we will lose this game. I am just a terrible player and I should quit.
This second boy was so upset with himself that he was really too scared to do anything.
Now, I may just be a crow but even I know that when it is your turn at bat, you have to swing at the ball. Unfortunately, the second boy just stood at the plate and after three pitches, was called out by the umpire.
