Page 6 - SB-The Angry Hornet
P. 6
Now I will admit that I am just a crow, but even I know better than to get angry and hit a hornet’s nest. I just sat in the tree next to the hive for a long time thinking about what had happened to the “Fighting Boy.”
Suddenly, I heard some twigs breaking and saw the second boy walking down the same trail. And just as you might guess, he also bumped into the hive. The same guard bee jumped from the hive and stung him.
I was close enough to hear the second boy say to himself, “This is the worst thing that could ever happen. Terrible things like this always happen to me. I can’t do anything about it and something terrible and horribly painful is going to happen.
All of the bees are going to come out of that hive and start stinging me. All my family and friends are going to hate me for coming here and having this happen.”
He even told himself that there was nothing he could do to prevent the bees from hurting him. The more he thought like this the more scared he became.
