We can make ourselves uncomfortable when we have to deal with someone or something different. This is so important that it needs to be repeated. WE can make ourselves uncomfortable when we have to deal with someone or something different. Just because you are different does not mean that you are responsible for the feelings or behaviors of others.
Squiggy’s not liking chocolate made him different from the others. You may be different because you are of a different race or religion. Maybe you are allergic to certain foods. Maybe you like gymnastics but don’t care for football and on and on.
There are many ways in which you or others may be different. But being different is not a good reason to be treated badly
by others. It is an unfortunate characteristic of all creatures
to treat those we see as “different” in a “not nice” way. But that does not make it right. It just means that we let our Stinky Thinking take control and cause us to engage in Thumbs Down behaviors.
