I will have squash along this fence and maybe a lemon tree. There will be yellow, yellow everywhere, no more green, green, green.”
Just then, she heard a loud bellowing...”Nooooooo.”
The sound was so loud and so close that the young girl jumped straight up and screamed. She spun around and was looking into the blood shot eyes of a large bull, who had his head stuck through the middle row of wire in the fence.
He snarled, “Don’t you even think about changing this garden! I stick my head though this fence and eat the collard greens. I get tired of eating just grass and hay. You better listen to me! If you try to do anything different to your garden you will be in a lot of trouble. Now, just get back into your house and forget about changing this perfectly good garden.”
The young girl ran back to her home and locked the door. “Oh my, oh my, what would happen if I changed the garden? The Bull is so mean. It is just too scary.” She was very upset and sat down to a bowl of collard soup and proceeded to cry in it.
