The two cranes traveled many miles until at last they found the home of the Elves. They explained their mission and requested to speak to the wisest of the Elves.
The two cranes were taken to an opening in the woods and asked to wait. A young Elf came and told them that they could speak to the Wise Elf but one at a time.
The first crane was led to another clearing. There seated in the middle of the clearing was an old Elf.
