It seemed to all the animals of the valley, that those valley trees were very lucky. But this story is not about the valley trees. It is about one little nut that did not grow up to be a valley tree.
It seems that one day a crow picked this particular nut and was going to crack it and eat it.
His idea was that he would fly to a great height, drop the nut and when it hit the rocks, it would crack open without him going to all of the trouble of banging it on the ground or trying to break it open with his beak.
It sounds like a good idea but there was one problem. When he dropped the nut, it did hit the rocks but it did not crack open.
