On September 18, 2021 from Noon - 4 pm, ADA members brought their old charts, x-rays, computers and
other assorted electronics to be properly shredded, destroyed and recycled by Data Shredding Service and
EcoTech Management. Over 5000 pounds of electronics were recycled! Many thanks to our volunteers:

Michael Shreck. We also want to thank our sponsors for the event: Kathy Lagano of MLMIC and Jeff Lasky

NCDS Assists Long Beach Lion’s Club with Marine Scholarship Fund

For several years now the Long Beach Lion’s Club has supported our GKAS Event both
financially and by providing free eye screenings to the children. So when we heard
they were running an event to support the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, we
helped out by becoming a sponsor. In addition, we were represented at the event by
2022 President, Dr. Joe Brofsky; 2022 Vice-President, Dr. Doug Schildhaus; Chair of
Governmental Affairs, Dr. Michael Shreck; and Executive Director, Dr. Gene Porcelli.
Money was raised by the sponsorships, ticket sales, silent auctions and a 50/50 raffle.
Special guest at the event was the actor, David McCallum, star of several TV shows,
including The Man From U.N.C.L.E and NCIS as well as movies such as The Great
Escape. During the event the crowd was told about the Nassau County Dental Society
and our Give Kids A Smile event. At the end of the evening our own Dr. Schildhaus
was the winner of the 50/50 raffle! He graciously donated the $600 he received back
to the Foundation. In total, the event raised $30,000 for the Marine Corps Scholarship
                               Foundation.

The Nassau Academy of Dentistry Hosts Sleep Dentistry Course

On November 19, 2021 the Nassau Academy
of Dentistry hosted an all day course entitled
“Discover Sleep Dentistry” at the Inn in New
Hyde Park presented by the Vivos Institute.
The course helped to raise funds so our
Nassau Academy can continue to fund our
community projects like GKAS and free Oral
                                       Cancer screenings.
