What are the BENEFITS to me and to Nuix?
More conversations
Monthly touchpoints between leaders and team members enable a focus on targets, behaviours, and necessary support and development. Regular conversations help maintain strong working relationships and help integrate the employees into the team and community they support.
More Focus
This approach is less formal than the traditional appraisal system, therefore, it can be more relaxed. It is also more direct and focused as each discussion has a key theme with specific issues to cover.
More Flexibility
15-minute conversations can easily be arranged in conjunction with other meetings, providing leaders and team members with more autonomy to fit these discussions in with other priorities.
More Transparency
Shared templates and guidelines support a mutual obligation to have better conversations and build trust through relaxed and open dialogue as leaders and team members are able to prepare appropriately.
More Ideas
On how to develop our people and Nuix. Outputs from these conversations will provide information that can feed into learning & development and talent plans. They will also support the ongoing growth of Nuix by facilitating idea sharing regarding future products, services and processes.
The Templates
The templates will guide you around the types of questions you may be asked in each of your monthly conversations, helping you prepare so that the 15 minute Time Talk conversation each month is focused. If you find that different questions help you and your leader to achieve a better outcome, please incorporate those questions into your conversations and share them with us so we can add them to these guides.
The Format
We encourage at least 6 Time Talk conversations every half year, accepting that the main focus in the last month of the second and fourth quarters are about closing out on deals or objectives. You can conduct more Time Talk sessions if they work for you and your team. The regularity of the conversation keeps things moving and the relationships stronger.
